Get uncomfortable.
Recover faster.
Cold water immersion triggers a cascade of physiological responses — norepinephrine surges up to 300%, inflammation drops rapidly, and your nervous system moves from acute alertness into profound calm. The discomfort is temporary. The benefits are not.
No gym membership required. Open to everyone in Ballito and the surrounding area.
The science of cold.
Cold water immersion is one of the most evidence-backed recovery protocols available — athletes, executives and wellness-focused individuals worldwide have made it a non-negotiable part of their weekly routine. The physiology is straightforward: cold constricts blood vessels, rapidly reducing inflammation and flushing metabolic waste.
Research consistently shows that regular cold immersion reduces delayed onset muscle soreness (DOMS), improves sleep quality, reduces cortisol levels, and delivers measurable improvements in mood, focus and energy — often within the first session.

- Reduces acute and chronic inflammation
- Significantly lowers DOMS after training
- Boosts norepinephrine — improves mood and focus
- Activates brown fat thermogenesis (supports fat loss)
- Improves sleep onset and sleep quality
- Strengthens mental resilience and stress tolerance

How the ice bath works.
A standard session is short and simple — submerge to at least chest height, focus on slow controlled breathing, and stay in for as long as is comfortable and safe. Our team guides every first-timer through the protocol before you get in.
Most clients start with 2–3 minutes and build tolerance over time. Sessions take 10–15 minutes including changing, and you'll feel the alertness and mood lift immediately afterward.
- Recommended: 2–3 sessions per week for optimal results
